About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager who will lead and take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the a rang of timber and steel projects safely, on time and to the client’s satisfaction. Ensuring that during the project, all aspects of safety, environmental, quality, technical and commercial management issues are implemented and maintained.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To establish project brief from client and appoint and brief the design team, or liaise with previously appointed team, to ensure completion of project.
- To prepare, check and establish specifications, and advise with regards to build ability/value engineering.
- To prepare tender enquiries/quantities and prepare or assist with preparation or price and assemble bid/contract documentation.
- Place orders and undertake contract administration in line with departments QA procedures.
- Implement and undertake cost control/reporting.
- Project reporting – financial, progress, quality etc.
- Check contract and legal documentation, always being aware of current legislation.
- To comply with Quality and Health and Safety policies in relation to the running of the contract.
- Any other duties associated with this position which are related to the objectives of the Company or Team or contribute to individual development.
Key Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Good understanding and ability to operate Microsoft Office software (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Good communication skills.
- Strong interest in quality assurance, environmental management, and the structural steel fabrication industry.
- Good punctuality, pro-active approach, and good presentation skills.
- Ambition to progress their career to understand new methods of construction within the supply chain of B&K Hybrid Solutions.
- At least 5 years’ experience
