The BKHS Sustainability Focus Groups are in full swing, with representatives across the business meeting monthly to monitor, review and develop our internal sustainability strategies.
Our Focus Groups – which cover Policy, Material Procurement, Communication, and Company and Project Carbon Reduction Strategies - aim to:
-Raise awareness, educate, and show our commitment to sustainability across every BKHS department.
-Look at practical ways to reduce carbon emissions across the business, within our supply chain and throughout the industry as a whole.
-Help achieve our carbon reduction goals in line with. PlanetMark, Steel Zero, Near-Zero and our Carbon Roadmap.

While increasing pressure from clients and government policy and is undoubtedly a key (and welcome) factor to consider – particularly if the UK is to meet its Net Zero targets - I’m also pleased how many BKHS staff have a genuine personal interest in Sustainable Construction. Awareness, education and commitment are vital if BKHS are to meet our Carbon Roadmap plans by 2050, and these Focus Groups are an integral part of the puzzle.”
