B&K Hybrid Solutions delivered the steelwork and CLT package on behalf of Galliford Try for 2 Colmore Square which is now complete.
The project involved the refurbishment of an existing commercial building, comprised of offices, retail units and reception areas, with the goal of creating a leading office space in Birmingham. This included opening up the ground floor to create a more open, connected space and a flexible and diverse area, along with one clear identified main entrance.

BKHS supplied and installed the intumescent painted steel beams and industrial visual cross laminated timber decks (manufactured by Stora Enso), to create an open circular void with an internal staircase, providing access to shops and offices.
The building is situated within Birmingham City Centre’s prime office core located at the head of Colmore Row. Now complete, 2 Colmore Square is a 160,000 ft² of Grade A office space which, combined with its sister development Cannon House, provides some of the largest office floorplates available in the City Centre.

We were proud to work alongside Galliford Try, Elliott Wood and Hawkins\Brown to achieve this fantastic result.
