Abbey Fields Swimming Pool

Abbey Fields Swimming Pool is a new leisure facility in Kenilworth featuring a pool and café area. On behalf of Kier Construction, B&K Hybrid Solutions delivered the structural steelwork and glulam.

Our expert design team completed the steel connection design and temporary works, employing Engenuiti to design the glulam beams for the pool and café areas. Additionally, our in-house Drawing Office have modelled the project including all steelwork and glulam, to ensure efficient coordination with our production team and in-house Structural Engineers.

Abbey Field Swimming Pool is part of a multimillion-pound plan for a sports hall, gym and fitness studios. The new extensive upgrade at Abbey Fields will bring a number of key benefits to the local community, providing a wider range of activities and in turn helping to improve health and wellbeing.

The new facilities will include a 25m x 10m and 15m x 10m swimming pool with an adjoining external terrace, including a moveable floor allowing the water depth to be altered to meet the needs of a variety of users, with direct pool access via a hoist for disabled users from a ‘Changing Place’ facility. The facility will also include an attractive conservatory style café for park and pool visitors with new larger changing rooms with family friendly facilities.
