B&K Hybrid Solutions are now on site at Long Sutton Academy in Spalding, where we are delivering the structural steelwork on behalf of Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd.
Our site teams are currently installing over 340 tonnes of steelwork - manufactured from our state-of-the-art production facility – alongside the pre-cast concrete and stairs for the project’s new classrooms and sports hall.

BKHS’ team of structural engineers have completed comprehensive connection and temporary works design for the steelwork elements, which have been expertly detailed, and manufactured by our expert team of fabricator/welders.
Another fantastic addition to our education portfolio, the new school will replace existing infrastructure to provide students with modern facilities, including ICT rich classrooms and a net zero carbon energy system, with increased provision for students with Special Education Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).

The layout of the school will provide SEND students additional space in the purpose-designed SEND area to allow them to obtain the extra support they require and maximise their educational potential.
Overall, Long Sutton Academy’s redevelopment will support the school in achieving its mission statement to ‘provide a broad general education to produce well adjusted, balanced individuals who work hard and respect themselves and those around them’.
