B&K Hybrid Solutions are proud to share our latest site photos from Pinewood School - another fantastic steelwork addition to our education portfolio.
The BKHS team are now on site delivering the structural steelwork and metal decking package – including manufacturing almost 300 tonnes of steel – on behalf of Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd and the Department for Education.

Our package includes the steel frame, metal decking, PCC floor and roof panels, precast lift shafts and stairs, and our inhouse team of Structural Engineers have completed innovative steel-to-steel connection design work.
Pinewood School is a special educational needs and disabilities school, for pupils aged 11 to 16, which is part of the DfE’s school rebuilding programme. Designed to better accommodate pupils and staff, reduce costs, increase useable external and internal space and provide improved facilities, the new building aims to achieve Net Zero Carbon in operation at handover.

The school aims to provide a modern, welcoming, energy efficient learning environment with a thorough consideration of the needs of SEND pupils, and the high-quality architectural design reflects Pinewood’s aims and ethos.
Offsite construction and a comprehensive construction management plan have been specified to minimise disruption to neighbours.
