B&K Hybrid Solutions have delivered the steelwork package for Siemens Mobility's new state-of-the-art rail technology facility in Chippenham, a significant investment for driving UK rail innovation and enhancing transport for passengers and freight.
On behalf of Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd, our team completed the multi-storey office block building and the concourse structure which features roof lights and an entrance canopy. Additionally, the connecting warehouse and production facility features a multi-spanning portal frame with overhead plant enclosures and a canopy-covered offloading area.

BKHS manufactured, fabricated, painted and erected over 700 tonnes of structural steelwork for the project, manufactured from our state-of-the-art production facility, and landed the project's PCC floor planks.
Siemen’s new centre will include offices, production facilities, laboratories, warehousing and a test-track bed for static testing of signalling infrastructure equipment.

“This site is the UK’s sole dedicated signalling and control facility and results in highly skilled, well-paid jobs that brings benefits to the local economy, along with giving other local businesses the opportunity to supply goods and services."
