B&K Hybrid Solutions are proud to announce our new Sustainability Focus Groups, highlighting our ongoing commitment to sustainable practices; both in our work and our workplace.

Mike Polack, BKHS Technical Manager:
“Sustainability is vital to people, the planet and our business. Running sustainability focus groups with representatives from across the company is part of our push to further lower our own carbon emissions and those of the projects we work on”.

These groups – which will see representatives from the business meeting to review carbon measurement, material procurement, supply chain and policy – show our dedication to sustainability and will help BKHS drive towards a more sustainable and low-carbon future.

Carbon Measurement Group

B&K Hybrid Solutions' Carbon Measurement Subcommittee is committed to quantifying and reducing the organisation's carbon emissions, promoting environmentally conscious practices and sustainable operations.

Material Procurement & Supply Chain Group

This subcommittee strives to optimise our material procurement and enhance sustainability throughout our supply chain, fostering responsible practices and minimising environmental impact within our operations.

Policy Group

The company Sustainability Policy Subcommittee focuses on formulating and refining policies to guide the organisation in achieving its environmental, social and ethical sustainability goals.

Project Carbon Estimating Group

The Project Carbon Estimating Sustainability Subcommittee is tasked with accurately assessing and mitigating carbon emissions associated with Timber, Hybrid and Steel projects, ensuring commitment to environmentally responsible practices.

Communication

BKHS Communication Sustainability Subcommittee is dedicated to developing and implementing strategies that enhance transparent and sustainably conscious communication practices, contributing to the organisation's overall sustainability objectives.

Alongside our Sustainability Committees, we are also working towards Planet Mark Business Certification, a sustainability and net zero provider which will provide us with the insight needed for us to make informed decisions about reducing our carbon footprint.
