B&K Structures are delighted to share our involvement in Plot A1, Canada Water; an innovative steel and cross laminated timber project, which is part of the wider Canada Water development - one of the largest mixed-use regeneration projects in London.

BKS are now on site delivering the Atrium Area for Plot A1 – which links three residential and commercial structures to create a new mixed-use building – and last year we completed the structural steelwork trusses to the existing residential tower block.

On behalf of Wates Group, our package includes the structural steelwork frame, Westok fabricated sections, top-level metal decking and CLT floor panels across six floor levels.

The Canada Water masterplan - designed by Allies and Morrison for British Land – is targeting the highest standards of sustainability and is working towards becoming one of the most sustainable schemes in the UK.

When complete, this innovative mixed-use hybrid building will include shops at ground floor, flexible workspace across a 5-storey podium and retained 35-storeys of housing above. The building occupies a prime location just a few steps from Canada Water tube station, and terraces across several floors look out onto Canada Dock, with views to Canary Wharf and the City of London.
