We’re delighted to announce our involvement in our latest project; delivering a large-scale structural steelwork unit for Glass Systems on behalf of Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd.
On site later next year, B&K Hybrid Solutions will detail, fabricate and erect over circa 800 tonnes of hot and cold rolled structural steelwork.
The glass manufacturing development will include a mezzanine office measuring 1,355 sqm used for processing glass. Glass Systems - which already has six factories across the UK and employs more than 1,000 staff - manufactures around 100,000 insulated glass units a week to the UK window market.
This addition to their facilities will safeguard 500 jobs in the Port Talbot area as well as create 100 more, and the new glass factory development will benefit from Welsh government business support, allowing for investment in machinery, equipment and site expansion.
